Shango-Birembo 220 kV Transmission Line

The project was consisting of construction of new 220 KV transmission line between the new Birembo-Shango Substation and Gisenyi-Goma Portion from the construction of foundations of the towers up to the erection of the towers and stringing of the line conductors.

 

The construction of the transmission was to allow the increase of the reliability of power supply around the country by evacuating the energy generated by the methane gas to power projects in Kivu Lake and regional power trade.

 

The work consisted of supply of material and equipment for construction tower foundations, construction of tower foundations, assembling of towers and their accessories, testing and commissioning of Transmission Line.
